New hangar built for aircraft maintenance

November 15th, 2016 Posted by Bristol & Wessex Aeroplane Club

A new project that has been recently completed is the construction of a new maintenance hangar for general aviation support at Bristol Airport, this new facility allows us to provide light aircraft maintenance to our fleet of aircraft to begin with but with the future vision of providing a light single engine and twin engine turn-key maintenance facility for general aviation in the South West of England, aircraft we are looking to cover will include Cessna, Piper, Socata and Grumman light aircraft.

As well as light aircraft maintenance we are also now in a position to provide overnight hangar space to visiting or resident aircraft where required. The new hangar constructed of strong steel has been built within close distance of the flying club located alongside one of the southside taxiways at Bristol Airport, this allows for easy access to the facility not only for our own fleet or aircraft but for the future vision of visiting aircraft that require maintenance.
