Owned and run by pilots, for pilots, this historic club has continuously flown since 1927. With Trial Lessons, Gift Vouchers, training and self fly hire there’s something for everyone and great club atmosphere.
Based at Bristol International Airport, our doors are open to all aviation enthusiasts. Visit our comfortable club house and relax in the café and bar with its excellent view of the runway at this busy international airport.
You can join the Bristol and Wessex as a social member, student or as a qualified pilot but whatever level you choose, you can be sure of a very warm welcome.
With our pilot members ranging from teens to ‘mature’, some have been flying for many years and others are newly qualified, but they all have one thing in common – a love of flying.
Our professional flying instructors have an admirable reputation for their consistently high standards. Tailoring each lesson to individual requirements, they ensure success for every student. Open seven days a week you can fit your flying around busy jobs and family life.
We also have a very active social side to the club. Come along on a Tuesday when we stay open in the evening, or in the summer we often organise BBQ’s on a Saturday. Along with monthly events and talks, we also arrange fly-outs where both flying and non flying members are very welcome to come along.
