On Sunday 21st September 2016 a team from Bristol & Wessex Aeroplane Club exhibited at a charity aviation fair held within the Administration Building at Bristol Airport, the event now in its third year raised a fantastic £986.32 for Children’s Hospice South West from a total of 860 visitors of all ages.
Our display was located in the lower part of the administration building, which was once the main airport terminal at Bristol Airport before they moved into their new building during 2000. Visitors to the fair were able to speak to us and find out information on learning to fly or purchasing a trial lesson as a gift for themselves or someone they know, our team were also available to answer any questions that visitors had. Also on offer within the aviation fair were exhibitors from various locations across the UK selling or showcasing a range of models, photos and books. Exhibits from Bristol Aero Collection, Fly2Help and Bristol Balloons also provided information and interest to visitors that attended the event.
We were pleased to attend and support the event and help raise money for a very worthy cause, we look forward to future aviation fairs.
