During the weekend of 23rd and 24th June Bristol & Wessex welcomed the RAF Typhoon Display Team and RAF Red Arrows to Bristol Airport where they were parked ahead of their displays at the Weston Air Day on Weston-super-mare seafront.
The fantastic aircraft were parked a short distance from the club house in clear view of visitors to The Flight Lounge who had purchased tickets to attend our BBQ event, during the event pilots from the Red Arrows met some of the visitors, presented signed posters to children and spoke about their flying experiences to interested visitors.
Our flight simulator was also open for short flying experiences, the offer of this was also taken up by one of the Red Arrows pilots who took to the air in our Cessna 182 simulator, quite a bit slower and different from the aircraft he usually flies!
A very successful weekend, with many very happy visitors including Kez, who has a massive passion for the Red Arrows and got to meet some of the pilots and won the hearts of them too, Kez is certainly a budding Red Arrow pilot in the making.
