Why trial lessons?

The ideal gift for anyone who looks up to the sky and wishes to give it a go! The trial lesson will be conducted under the supervision of a fully trained and experienced instructor. You will take control of the aircraft from the blocks, taxying, going through the checks with the instructor and taking it to the skies. Then when airborne you can be in control of the aeroplane enjoying the sights of the beautiful South West.

What can I expect from the trial lesson?

Throughout the entire experience the opportunity will be there to fly the aircraft under the instructors guidance, airspace permitting, you can also fly over any local landmarks of specific interest or even your house should you wish. What’s important is that the flight is tailored to you – being able to fly as much or as little as you like means it will be taken at a pace matching your experience and interest. Whatever you decide it’s guaranteed to be an experience above all else. All vouchers are 'loggable' in your Pilot's Logbook should you wish to take this further and maybe on to a licence! You can always phone us for more information on 01275 475 429

We also offer flight simulator experiences that allow you to experience the thrill of flying an aircraft without leaving the ground.

Are there any restrictions on trial lessons?

Our trial lessons at Bristol Airport are open to anyone over the age of 12 as long as you are able to board the aircraft without assistance, a minimum age of 16 years old is required for unaccompanied trial lessons. For children under 16 a parent will need to accompany them with a membership fee of just £50. We have a strict weight restriction on all trial lessons, if you are above 220lbs/100kgs please contact us before your flight.

All trial lessons hold a 6 month validity period from the date of the purchase for customers to use, please ensure that you plan your booking in plenty of time as vouchers can not be cancelled or extended. Your voucher must be used within 6 months of purchasing. All vouchers are subject to our terms and conditions.

Can family and friends come along?

Observers on (4 Seater) trial lessons should be family or friends of the main participant who are sharing the experience with a view to learning to fly. A maximum of one extra participant will be permitted, at the discretion of the Flight Instructor, on the day of the trial lesson and is subject to a £50 day membership fee.

How do I book a trial lesson?

Firstly you need to choose the duration of the trial lesson, we have our popular 1 hour trial lesson which will allow the instructor to fly that bit further from the airport and allow you to see more from the air as well as getting a nice amount of time at the controls.

Once you have chosen the trial lesson that suits your requirements enter the recipient name and Add to Basket, you will then need to proceed through the checkout. Once completed and payment has been made you will be emailed a Trial Lesson Voucher that you need to print and bring along with you on the day of your flight. In order to book your trial lesson please contact us by phone on 01275 475429 to arrange a suitable date and time, it couldn't be simpler to take to the skies!

Where can I park?

We have free on-site parking which is included in the cost of the trial lesson, simply obtain a free parking pass at the reception desk on your arrival.

If you have any further questions you can always phone us for more information on 01275 475 429 or complete our online contact form.
